The Spiritual Arc
One of the most common experiences of spiritual consciousness is the feeling of "oneness," which is often experienced as a feeling that everything is part of a whole, or that we all come from one common source and share a common spirit.
In our ordinary worldly perceptions, our planet is a mass of individual life forms each seeking its own destiny. Behind this appearance is the essential nature of existence, the One Divine consciousness of self.
Many seek spiritual enlightenment and oneness. We seek to hear the voice of God and to become enlightened. Perhaps this is why Buddha meditated so much - so that he could listen to the voice of God. Jesus and Moses used to go to the mountaintop to pray to be enlightened. To be in the light. When we are in the light, we are aware of the Presence of something greater than ourselves.
We are all rooted in the same unity, the same reality, and characterized by the same attributes of that One because each of us is a unique expression of it. This is called One, God. By whatever name It is called, the One chosen to incarnate as each of us is doing something different in each of us.
Our home is the earth, and we are also spiritual and divine beings. We are solar and cosmic beings made up of the stuff of our galaxy and of the same chemical compounds; nitrogen, carbon, oxygen and hydrogen. The same stuff and the same elements of the stars and the universe.
This means that on a chemical and molecular level, earth and humans share a symbiotic frequency and essential divine aspect that we should learn to connect with. We see around ourselves and what we see is the outermost product of an invisible and highly creative process.
Because consciousness is the eternal cause of change and renewal, everything is a vast interconnected web of beings for each of which there is a time, a purpose, and a season. If you are reading this...no doubt it is your season to become enlightened. Becoming one with the universe is one of the urges of our nature to reconnect with source. With Oneness.
At the heart of everything is that divine Self provides the urge to grow beyond outer limitations towards the light side of spirit. For our greater good we must try to use wisely our latent spiritual powers, our self-conscious minds and our faculties to soar to and beyond newer and greater heights.
Our true selves beckon us to find the wisdom within and to listen to the small still voice that speaks to us within our inner receptive ear.
